Trouble/Boy in the Factory

A 2 track indie pop single (6m 6s) — released January 14th 2013 on Villains And Rogues

The Svengalis (Mart, Jim, Saul and Jonah) are a London based band who formed in 2006 and released their ace debut single "Sting in the Tale" under their own label "Villains & Rogues" in March 2007. The Svengalis were featured in session on Steve Lamacq's "In New Music We Trust" show on Radio 1. As well as regular national uk airplay they made no.3 in Lamacq's top 2006 demos and have featured as channel4.com/music's artist of the week.

But then disaster struck....

After being kidnapped by an evil genius for the last 5 years, they've snuck out of hiding and gone back into the studio with long term collaborator and producer, Junk Scientist, to produce a two-track single Trouble/Boy In The Factory. Motown, frenetic ska basslines, and their usual fantastic harmonies run through these two pop gems. Buy this record and help them raise the ransom money to secure their release back into the world.

Further recordings planned for 2013. ..to be continued. Maybe.

Such is their grasp of the idiosyncratic indie track that already they're summing up to be the next generations' Belle and Sebastian, a feat one would never have expected to be achieved. - Alex Lee Thomson RockFeedback
